Broadband business connections have different priorities from domestic provision. While a domestic connection will typically have a contention ratio of 50:1 (the network bandwidth available is shared between up to 50 subscribers) the business connection needs to be more resilient than this.
While BT typically offer a business contention of 20:1 AMAS Telecom Services offer a contention ration of 5:1 on our basic Business 500 package and a blistering 3:1 on our Business 1000 and 2000 packages. In reality these are the maximum ratio’s allowed and typically your connection can often have a1:1 ratio.
