DocuWare 5 is available in three different server editions, Business, Professional and Enterprise. The editions differ in their range of features and are designed to meet varying business requirements.
Naturally, all three editions guarantee the convenience and comprehensive features of modern document management: scanning, indexing, archiving, retrieval, display and editing, printing and sending paper and PC documents are included among the basic functions. The Qualified Electronic Signature, easy installation administration, plus user-friendly file cabinet creation and exclusive document access via DocuWare are also provided by all server editions, as is the integrated full-text search.
BUSINESS Server
BUSINESS Server is tailored for use in smaller companies confined to one location. BUSINESS Server provides all the basic features required for a functioning document management system.
It is a cheap introductory system aimed at the small business and has a limit of 4Gb per file cabinet and limited functionality and upgradeability. Because of its limitations it is only really recommended for a small office with basic storage requirements
PROFESSIONAL Server
PROFESSIONAL Server is the ideal platform for small and medium-sized businesses and departmental solutions in large companies. Important additional features compared to BUSINESS Server include file cabinet synchronization, the integration of LDAP, Active Directory and domain directories, as well as the option to extend the functionality through additional modules.
It is the first version to give you access to all the additional modules and is the choice for most businesses with a reasonable number of users, and medium to large storage requirements.
ENTERPRISE Server
The range of features has been extended still further in ENTERPRISE Server, enabling the highest standards of data and failover safety to be met with DocuWare. Several servers can be interconnected and the efficient load balancing allows load to be distributed evenly across all servers. With the option to store documents in encrypted form and switch to a high security level, ENTERPRISE Server satisfies even the strictest security requirements.
With load balancing and data synchronisation across multiple offices it spreads the processing across servers to accommodate the largest of organisations.
